Universal Credit survey

Universal Credit is a new benefit which is being introduced in the UK. It will replace 6 benefits including Employment and Support Allowance.

Universal Credit has been in the news a lot recently as there are concerns about how it is being rolled out and the amount of money people will receive.

We want to find out more about the experiences of disabled people and people with long term health conditions.

  1. As a person leaving with a long term health condition,hiv. I want to say it loud that it’s very difficult for us t cope with emotional stress and community .we go back and forth for hospitals appointment because of one related illness or the other.we really need support from the government to bet this disease.

  3. I find life unbearable, the pain is constant, no way could I walk two buses! I would have. a job walking one! My long term condition is rheumatoid arthritis, most days especially in the cold and wet weather, I find it difficult to get out of bed. Life is not great every day, but I make the most of what I have. I have been on PIP for years before that I had DLA no problem, I have waited for the PIP renual, since , October! When I phone the PIP assistance tell me it is with the accessor it is nearly February, all I want to know is when can I have my PIP and am I going to get it ?
